"The Smiths"

I think that "The Smiths" are one of the most significant British bands that made a good contribution to the music world' because they have a unique style. They have 4 albums, and I think that their most successful album was “The Queen Is Dead” in 1989 because this became number 2 on the British chart. Also the magazine "Spin" situated this album in the first spot of their list as "The Greatest Albums Ever Made.”From this album I want to emphasize the song "There is a Light that Never Goes Out." This is one of my favorite songs of The Smiths, and I think it’s one of the most known. This song is considered as one of the tragic, deeper love songs ever written, and one of the most important pieces of poetic contemporary popular music, which has been recorded in over 20 different language versions. This song is a little controversial because the lyrics have some coincidences with the mystery of Princess Diana’s death. Also the name of the album announces a royal death. Some interesting facts:-After Princess Diana’s death Morrissey, was interviewed by correspondent Andres Lokko of the Swedish music magazine POP (edition of January 1998) who asked him “How did you react when you heard of Princess Diana’s death?” and Morrissey answered “It was so predictable.  It was expected....”I hope you liked. We will write next week about another band or artist. If you want you can suggest a band and we will try to post the information here.

Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in Upplands Väsby in 1979 under the name Force by vocalist Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bassist Peter Olsson and drummer Tony Reno. They spent almost two years waiting for an oportunity to create a rock band, and in 1982 they won the higest price in a contest. The price were make a record. They jump to fame with the disc “The final countdown” in 1986. In all their records were good songs but not all of them, so if a have to choose one record I could say the best is Rock the Night: The Very Best of Europe a compilation álbum.
One of the best song I like is “Carry” just because I like romantic songs, but “Cherokee” is also a great song. So, both songs are good for me.

Bon jovi is an american band of hard-rock from the 80’s. They come from Sayreville, New Jersey , and they consist in a lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan and drummer Tico Torres.
I don’t know what is wrong with these people who say “ Oh, Bon Jovi was a great band of hard rock and stuff, and now its a girly band only with sad and romantics songs”. I think everybody can think whatever they want, but I think this band is one of the best band of the 80’s. One of the best part is the voice of Jon, where can you find today a guy like this( because he is beatiful) that sings like this today, nowhere. It’s true about they change their music, to a more romantic music, but they still are a great band because I think they have to sit up to new life style. The world is always changing and they have just to fit it in. They bécame famous with : Livin’ On A Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name, Bad Medicine and  I´ll be there for you, in mid of 80’s, but one of the best disc of them is New Jersey released in September 1988. The mix of hard rock and romantic style really made me feel  crazy. The song “living in sin” touched my heart because it was a kind racy romantic and sexy way to talk about forbidden love. Nowadays they are working in a new álbum that will show in 2013. I can't wait.
