Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode was formed in 1980 in Basildon city. The first name of the band was “Composition of Sounds” and their original members were Vincent Clarke, Martin Gore, and Andy Fletcher, but in 1981, Vincent Clarke left the band and began his own project called “Yazoo”. Then, he formed “Erasure” with Andy Bell.
“Composition of Sound” made an audition to search a new vocalist, who was David Gahan. He suggested a new name for the band: “Depeche Mode”. This name was taken from a French Magazine.
Their first, single was “Photographic”, but with the song “Just can get enough”, they were famous around the world, with this song, they became the number one on Billboard and they maintained their success with forty eight songs in the UK single chart and #1 albums.
They have become one of the most influential bands. They are considered part of the best 50 bands of the last time. Some of the bands influenced by Depeche Mode are “Ultravox”, “kraftwerk”, and some other new wave band like “Cabaret Voltaire”.
On 6 June 2011, Depeche Mode released “Remixes 2:81-11” which is a collection of new and classical remixes. These remixes reinforced the status of Depeche Mode as one of the most influential bands ever.
